Closed Content Environment

AdaptEd is not a web browser. Students interact only with teacher-created and AI-generated instructional content that is aligned to state standards. There is no open search, no social media feeds, and no user-generated public content. Every piece of material a student sees has been produced within the platform's controlled educational pipeline.

School Responsibility

Schools and districts are responsible for maintaining CIPA-compliant internet filtering on district-managed devices and networks. AdaptEd supplements but does not replace district-level content filtering.

• Districts should deploy network-level web filters per CIPA requirements.
• Device-management policies (MDM) should restrict browser access on student devices.
• AdaptEd provides an additional layer of safety within the platform itself.

AI Content Guardrails Built-in

All AI-generated content on AdaptEd is constrained to educational contexts with age-appropriate language and subject matter. Our guardrails include:

• System-level prompts that restrict AI output to curriculum-aligned, K-12 appropriate material.
• Content is generated within teacher-defined parameters (grade level, subject, standards).
• No open-ended chat with unrestricted AI models is available to students.
• AI interactions are logged and auditable by administrators.

Link Safety Active Filtering

External links within the platform are validated against safety filters before redirecting users. AdaptEd's link safety system:

• Blocks non-HTTP/HTTPS URL schemes (javascript:, data:, file:, etc.).
• Maintains a blocked-domain list of known inappropriate sites.
• Matches against subdomains to prevent circumvention.
• Logs all blocked redirect attempts for administrator review.

Reporting Inappropriate Content

If you encounter any content on AdaptEd that you believe is inappropriate, inaccurate, or not suitable for students, please report it immediately.
